OUR BRAND
Guibon Foods is a Brazilian brand of the Avenorte Group that has been operating in the market for over 24 years in the chicken slaughtering and processing segment.
We began our activities on May 21, 1998, slaughtering around 2,000 birds per day, with a staff of approximately 60 employees in the city of Cianorte, northwest of the state of Paraná – Brazil.
We currently generate 3,500 direct jobs and 17,000 indirect jobs in the city and throughout the region with an innovative manufacturing structure with the capacity to slaughter 230,000 birds per day.
The feed supplied to the integrated producers is produced by Avenorte through a modern feed factory, which meets the requirements of IN 04/07 and undergoes a rigorous quality control process. All feed is pelleted, ensuring the birds have excellent feed conversion and daily weight gain. This work is carried out by a specifically trained team, thus offering the best to our poultry farming partners.
Poultry
Broiler industry with reference standard
Our poultry production has widely recognized quality with Global Gap export standard. Currently, there are more than two thousand broiler farms located in the West and North of Paraná. The challenge of implementing poultry farming in a hot climate region started in 1999 and since then the Cooperative has expanded its production, always guaranteeing quality and biosecurity. Today, we are part of the whole production chain, from the production of chicks to slaughter. Prioritizing animal welfare and all the necessary care for our employees’ health, our three refrigeration plants are responsible for the slaughter of more than 700 thousand birds/day.
Pigs
Pioneer pig farming
LAR’s pig production began in 1988, with the creation of the first Sows Production Unit. Today, there are 30,000 sows which corresponds to around 700,000 pigs per year.
In our ISO 9001 standard units, we optimize the workforce and guarantee excellent results. We are ready to expand even further, improving measures for food biosafety, traceability, social commitment, and environment protection with the most modern equipment and structure. The animals are sent for slaughter at Central Frimesa.
