Our Company was Founded in 1946 by Norberto Jaeger, Companhia Minuano evolved from a small paper-packaging and typography operation into one of Brazil’s most respected poultry and meat-processing firms.
By 1955, the company transitioned to poultry farming and rose quickly—becoming a founder of the Brazilian Poultry Producers & Exporters Association (later UBABEF) in the 1970s
Despite a brief venture into swine in the late 1980s, Minuano refocused on its core strength in poultry—building a vertically integrated enterprise that includes breeder farms, hatcheries, a feed mill, slaughterhouses, and an embutidos (sausages & cold cuts) plant
Today, Minuano processes products ranging from frozen chicken and turkey to chicken mortadella and franks under brands like Minu, Royal, and Minal—serving over 30 countries across four continents. With strong roots in Rio Grande do Sul, its products also serve the Brazilian domestic market with nearly 30 items
Commitment to Quality & Safety
Minuano maintains rigorous HACCP-based quality controls, conducting about 1,000 microbiological and physical‑chemical tests each month. Its integrated producer network ensures top biosecurity and animal welfare, while all production units are regularly inspected by Brazil’s Federal Inspection Service (SIF). The company’s credo—“Quality is not a cost, it is value”—is ID’d through advanced hygiene protocols, cutting-edge laboratories, and ongoing staff training
Vertically Integrated Structure
Minuano’s industrial complex spans seven main units:
-
Slaughterhouse (Frigorífico)
-
Hatchery & Breeder Farms
-
Feed Mill
-

-

They operate in Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, and Mato Grosso, with distribution hubs in Valinhos, Bauru, Brasília, and Campo Grande—and a commercial office in São Paulo
This end-to-end integration reinforces stringent quality control and enables the company to collaborate closely with agricultural producers in Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Mato Grosso do Sul.
Vision, Mission & Values
Minuano is guided by a clear strategic compass:
-
Mission: Provide sustainable, high-quality foods with outstanding service.
-

Legacy, Leadership & Culture
Rooted deeply in Rio Grande do Sul, Minuano combines tradition with modernization: its product packaging has evolved to showcase a modern design while retaining the iconic mascot and rural sunset imagery—symbolizing freshness and agricultural authenticity
It also weathered past challenges, including recovering from a creditor reorganization in 2002 via partnerships (e.g., with Sadia/BRF), and has renewed its brand identity, employee engagement, and operational strength over seven decades
